Dayton, Ohio (6/15/2010) – Sinclair Community College will host a grand opening celebration of the HAAS Tech Training Center on Friday, June 18, 2010. Thanks to a generous donation by HAAS Automation has donated half of the equipment in Sinclair’s CNC lab. In doing so, the company has designated Sinclair Community College as an official HAAS Tech Center; one of only two in Ohio and forty nationwide.
The event will begin at 11:00 a.m. in building 11, room 11-141. The grand opening ceremonies will run between 12:00 and 12:30, with an introduction by Dr. George Sehi, dea n of the Science, Math and Engineering Division at Sinclair. Sinclair President Steven Lee Johnson, a representative from HAAS, and the Mayor of Dayton are also scheduled to speak at the event.
The program will be followed by a luncheon and a series of seminars and lab demonstrations in buildings 11 and 12 on the Sinclair campus. The demonstrations will be student led with participation from representatives of local industries.
