Sinclair Celebrates Constitution Day with Honorable Sharon Ovington

DAYTON, Ohio (08/12/08) – Sinclair Community College will host U.S. Federal District Judge Sharon Ovington in a celebration of Constitution Day on Wednesday, September 17.

On Sept. 17, 1787, the U.S. Constitution was signed by thirty-nine brave men who changed the course of history. Every year in celebration of this historical event, educators, students and community leaders participate in events like Constitution readings in honor of the day.

Sinclair’s annual celebration will include the Honorable Sharon Ovington, who will present “Understanding our Constitution”. Following a distinguished career as an attorney, Judge Ovington was sworn in as United States Magistrate Judge for the Southern District of Ohio, Western Division at Dayton, Ohio on October 28, 2002.

Sinclair’s Constitution Day events will kick off at Noon in the Tartan Marketplace. The event is free and open to the public.
