BOTJER MAKES STRONG DEBUT FOR COPPERHEADS IN GREAT LAKES LEAGUE!

Zach Botjer didn't take long to make an impact for the Southern Ohio Copperheads. Getting the call on Tuesday and reporting on Saturday, Botjer came into the game trailing 1-0 in the 6th inning. After striking out the first two hitters that he faced, Botjer gave up a bloop double and hit a batter. With two on and two out he recorded his third strikeout of the inning ending his day on the mound. In the top of the inning the Copperheads would tie the game up at one and had many chances to set up Botjer for the win but could not come through. Southern Ohio would lose the game 2-1 in extra innings. Botjer is not the only Sinclair player playing for the Copperheads this summer. Justin Marrero a incomming transfer plays and so does former Sinclair SS Chad Geier.
