Paralegal Day Honored at Sinclair

Dayton, OH- One of the fastest growing professions in America will be recognized at the Sinclair Conference Center on May 18. The local legal community will celebrate Paralegal Day, joining with other communities in the state. The State of Ohio recognizes the contributions of paralegals to the law, by proclaiming Paralegal Day each year on the third Monday of May.
The event will be held in the Smith Auditorium in Building 12 on the Sinclair campus. It is open to everyone in the legal community, including judges, attorneys, paralegals, and support staff.

Social hour will be held from 5:30 p.m. to 6:15 p.m., with refreshments provided. The Program will begin promptly at 6:15 p.m. and conclude at 7:00 p.m. Individual tickets for the event are available for $15 per person and includes parking. Student tickets are also available.

Support for this event is provided primarily by law firms and businesses in the Dayton region that supervise paralegal interns while they are still students, and employ paralegals to assist them in serving the legal needs of clients.

In addition to legal-themed entertainment, the program for Paralegal Day includes presentation of several scholarships for paralegal students, recognition of an Outstanding Paralegal practicing in the community, and recognition of a law firm in the community which has made the best utilization of its paralegal professionals. The awards are determined by attorneys and paralegals that practice in the Dayton area.
