Sinclair to Engage Campus Discussion on Student Access Policies

In an effort to promote the safest and most welcoming educational environment possible, Sinclair College is beginning the process of formally reviewing its campus access policy. Administrators will be meeting with faculty, campus police and students in coming weeks and months to collaborate on possible improvements in the current policy.

"Sinclair is committed to a secure and welcoming campus for our students, faculty and staff," said Sinclair President Steve Johnson. "Our expectation is that we will review and revise our campus access policy with the input of our entire campus community. We know that this is the best way to craft a policy that meets the needs of the many diverse groups that make Sinclair such a great place to learn, teach and engage in civic discourse."

The college will begin the meeting process in the very near future with the goal of instituting any changes necessary before the start of the next school year. Sinclair is committed to a campus that is transparent and open, but also safe.
