Music of the Americas Coming to Sinclair

DAYTON, Ohio (11/16/09) -- Sinclair Community College features three of their choral ensembles in concert on Sunday, November 22, 2009.

Music of the Americas showcases Sinclair’s Chamber Choir, Chorale and Women’s Ensemble. All of the groups are directed by Nolan Long, an assistant professor of music. The concert begins at 4 p.m. at St. John’s Lutheran Church at West Fifth and Ludlow streets in downtown Dayton. Admission and parking for the concert are free and open to the public.
The performances will include selections by Sara Teasdale, Robert DeCormier and Aaron Copeland, as well as other compositions. 

Professor Long is in his sixth year of teaching at Sinclair and his 26th year of teaching in higher education. He teaches private voice, sight-singing for singers and voice class, as well as directing the SCC Chorale, Women’s Ensemble and Chamber Choir.
