Reserve Your Spot for Annual Chili Luncheon

The Dietetics Department Annual Chili service learning event is currently accepting reservations for the 11th Annual Souper Way to Give celebration.  The primary goal is to raise hunger awareness.  All funds received go directly to The Foodbank, Inc.

The luncheon will be held on Wednesday, October 26, from 11:30 a.m.-1:00 p.m., in the Tartan Terrace, Building 13, 4th floor.  The cost for this great meal and gathering is only a $5.00 donation.  The meal will provide chili (choice of beef, chicken or vegetarian), served in a multi-grain bread bowl (prepared by the culinary students), apple, pumpkin cupcake, and a bottle of water.

In addition, REACH has graciously donated 80 pottery bowls made by our Sinclair Art students.  For the cause you can purchase a beautifully designed ceramic bowl while supplies last for an additional $10.00 donation.

Gift baskets will also be raffled.

Please RSVP to nora.schaefer@sinclair.edu with your choice of chili (beef, chicken, or vegetarian).  Also indicate if you wish to reserve a ceramic bowl.  Attached is a flyer and please bring your donation of cash or check (payable to The Foodbank, Inc.) the day of the event.   Each dollar you donate provides four meals for hungry students and their families in the Miami Valley.

The Foodbank, Inc., is currently helping us fight hunger on the Sinclair campus.  Each month they provide the Mobile Food Pantry Service for our Sinclair students in need.  Sadly, “30-40% of college students are food insecure.”  Your support for this mission can help relieve hunger on campus and in the Dayton Community.
