Freshman Meg Reineke Named NJCAA Division II Volleyball Player of the Week

Dayton, OH – The National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) announced that Meg Reineke, has been named the NJCAA player of the week in women's volleyball for week 11 (Oct 26 – Nov 1).

Reineke (FR/Outside Hitter-New Knoxville H.S.) opened the week with 29 kills and 30 digs in a win over Columbus State. On Oct. 30, she had 20 kills, 16 digs and two blocks in a sweep of UC-Clermont before closing out the week with 11 kills and 13 digs in a sweep of Cuyahoga.  For the week, Reineke totaled 60 kills, 59 digs, three aces, four blocks (one solo) and one assist.In addition to earning NJCAA Player of the Week, Meg also earned OCCAC Player of the Week for the same week and was just selected 1st Team All-Conference.

Sinclair finished the regular season 18-12 overall and 8-6 in the always tough OCCAC.  The Pride lost both Region XII District F tournament matches last week at Owens CC to complete the season.
