Building 18 Renamed to Honor Contributions by Retired VP Deb Norris

At a ceremony on December 14, more than 150 Sinclair colleagues, community leaders, family and friends gathered in Building 18 on Fifth St to dedicate the building as the Deb Norris UAS Indoor Flying Pavilion. The Pavilion opened in 2015 as the nation’s first permanent, custom-built flying facility for UAS training and applied research support.

As Senior Vice President for Workforce Development and Corporate Services at Sinclair from 2006-2017, Deb Norris provided the vision and notable strategic leadership in the field of Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) that has brought regional, national and international recognition to the college and the Dayton region and includes the development of the first National Unmanned Aerial Training and Certification Center.
