Mail FAQ's
How long will my.Sinclair mail account remain active?
There is no formal plan in place to deactivate student emails. The current thinking is accounts would be deleted after one or two years of inactivity, but again, no decision has been made regarding this issue.
How do I forward my.Sinclair mail to another account?
You can configure my.Sinclair mail Web Messaging to automatically forward your mail to another mail account. This feature is activated when an e-mail address is present in the Change Mail Forwarding text box. (In other words, as long as this box is empty, mail is not forwarded.)
To forward your my.Sinclair mail to another address:
- Log on to your my.sinclair account by going to my.Sinclair.edu
- Click the "my.Sinclair Mail" link on the left hand side of the screen.
- At the main mail screen, select the "Change mail forwarding information" option from the Personal Account Options pull-down menu.
- Enter a complete mail address including the user ID and the full host name, for example, UserID@host.domain, and then click the Save button.
- You can forward your mail to more than one e-mail addresses by entering multiple addresses separated by commas.
What is my email address?
All student addresses for my.sinclair mail will follow the scheme listed below:
The student's my.sinclair. user name followed by @my.sinclair.edu
For Example: john.smith@my.sinclair.edu
