Workforce Development is an Integral Partner in Regional Economic Development Efforts

By working in partnership with community leaders, business and industry, education institutions, and local, regional, state and federal government agencies, Workforce Development is able to identify, create and implement regional workforce development strategies to meet the current and future employer demand.

Workforce Development helps Organizations Train & Develop their Most Valuable Resource - People

In the past, economic development focused on attracting new businesses with financial incentives. Companies now require that a well-trained, educated workforce is readily available when making a decision to relocate or stay in the region.   Examples of recent efforts to design new training specifically to meet area employers' needs include the following:

Did You Know?
With more than 40 clubs and organizations, Sinclair's campus life is active and vibrant.
Sinclair has established more than 100 transfer agreements to assist students in transferring to other colleges.
Nine of our students have made the Academic All-American First Team for Community, Technical and Junior Colleges—more than at any other community college.
Out of 1,200 community colleges in the nation, Sinclair is one of 20 board member colleges of the League for Innovation in the Community College.
