APICS Certification Classes

In today's global economy, supply chain management is critical to organizations around the world. That is why Sinclair Community College Workforce Development has partnered with the Association for Operations Management (APICS) to offer training to help you expand your career opportunities and improve your company's profitability.

Basics of Supply Chain Management - Learn the basic concepts in managing the complete flow of materials in a supply chain from suppliers to customers. This is the first of five modules designed to help you prepare for the CPIM exam.

September 12-November 14 (meets every Thursday from 6pm-8:30pm), - $550/person, $450 for APICS members. Add the Exam Voucher - $175 or $145 for APICS members. Registration Deadline: September 5th.

Master Planning of Resources - Examine the topics of demand management, sales and operations planning, and master scheduling in-depth in this module. Both supply and demand planning for mid- to long-term independent demand are discussed. Priority planning and capacity planning issues also are addressed

September 10 - October 29 (meets every Tuesday from 6pm-8:30pm) - $550/person- $450 for APICS members. Add the Exam Voucher - $175 or $145 for APICS members. Registration Deadline: September 3rd.

Detailed Scheduling & Planning - Acquire a working knowledge of inventory management, material and capacity scheduling and planning, supplier relationships, and the influence of lean and Just-in-Time philosophies on these areas. The course explains capacity planning in detail, introduces other capacity planning techniques such as processor-dominated scheduling in continuous flow processes, and reviews project management techniques.

Certified Supply Chain Professional - This training will help you prepare for the 2013 Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) exam.

September 11-November 27 (meets every Wednesday from 6pm-8:30pm) - $1,500/person, $1,350 for APICS members. Add the Exam Voucher - $795, $630 for APICS members. Registration deadline: September 4th.
