The following information refers to the Reading Collection in the Sinclair Community College Library - one resource of the College's Center for Teaching and Learning. Visit the Center for Teaching and Learning web site for more information on the Center's programs and service for college faculty.
Location
The Center for Teaching and Learning Reading Collection is located in the Library's Quiet Reading Room. While the collection can only be borrowed by Sinclair faculty and staff, the room itself is open to students and others seeking a quiet place to read and reflect.
Available Resources
To find books, media, and periodicals in the Library, search the Sinclair Library Catalog. Selected searches can be found in the menu to the left.

There are several resources that faculty will find particularly helpful for information on the profession and practice of teaching:
- Chronicle of Higher Education (full text)
- ERIC (from U.S. Dept. of Education)
- Education Full Text (from H.W. Wilson)
- Education Research Complete (from EBSCO)
Borrowing Books, Media, and Periodicals
Faculty and Staff may borrow books and periodicals in the CTL Reading Collection. Loan periods are:
- Sinclair books - 70 Days
- OhioLINK books - 3 weeks
- Sinclair Periodicals - 1 week
If Sinclair materials are needed for a longer loan period, faculty should contact the reference librarian on duty for special arrangements. Extended loans will be permitted in some circumstances that promote the work of the college. OhioLINK books can only be borrowed for 3 weeks, but often they can be renewed to extend the length of the loan.
Faculty and staff are subject to overdue fines for delinquent OhioLINK books.
