The following Life & Health Sciences resources cover a wide range of medical subjects.  Some of the databases provide full-text for most of the articles, while others only provide citation and abstract information.  For a full list of databases, use the OhioLINK Databases menu.  You can select the appropriate database by  subject, type, and  name.

Off-campus students and faculty: To use the following resources from off campus, you must have your Tartan Card number (all 9 digits) for authentication. If a database has the words "off campus" next to the name, use that link to access it. Otherwise, just click on the name of the database. Get more information from the Off-Campus Libguide

You may have to adjust the security settings on your computer to access these databases off-campus, and lowering your security settings may make your computer more vulnerable to other security threats. One of our vendors recommends the following: (MS IE setting: Privacy = Medium, Security = Medium-Low, Cookies = Accept All, Pop-up Blocker = Off). American Nurse Today - (Dayton campus & Courseview only) - The official journal of the American Nurses Association (ANA). Published monthly, it is a comprehensive source of evidence-based, peer-reviewed articles covering such subjects as career information, best practices, legal and ethical issues, reimbursement, time management, negotiating contracts, magnet recognition and drug topics.

Streaming Video

Films on Demand - (Health and Medicine) - A state-of-the-art streaming video platform that uses Flash Video, Windows Media and QuickTime to show films. We currently have access to the Health & Medicine and other related films.
