High School Scholarships

High school scholarships are offered to current high school seniors (Class of 2018) who will be graduating high school in winter or spring 2018 and are planning to enroll at Sinclair as full-time students for the upcoming school year. These scholarships range from $2000 - $3000 per year. The Priority Deadline for applications is November 1 – December 15th of 2017 and students can apply for general consideration for scholarships from January 1, 2018 – February 28, 2018 at noon (12 p.m. EST). Students can apply during the specified deadlines by clicking the red “Apply Online to Scholarships” button and entering their Sinclair username and password.

Application Process

  • Applications for Spring 2018 high school graduates will be accepted November 1, 2017 - December 15, 2017 and January 1, 2018 - February 28, 2018 at noon (12pm EST)
  • Students should complete their Free Application for Federal Student AID (FAFSA) at www.fafsa.ed.gov
  • Student will upload an electronic copy of their unofficial high school transcript and a letter of recommendation into the application system

Presidential Scholarship - $3000 per year

  • Montgomery County resident
  • 3.5 cumulative high school GPA at the time of application
  • Scholarship will be applied first toward tuition and fees; any unused funds may be used for books
  • Requires full time (12+ hours) enrollment in fall and spring semesters
  • Renewable for a second year based on minimum earned credit of 30 credit hours with a 3.0 GPA during the student’s first year

It is recommended (not required) that students file a 2018-2019 FAFSA by the Priority Deadline of May 1 to be considered for additional grant support.
 

Virginia McNeal Trustee Scholarship - $2000 per year

  • Montgomery County resident
  • 3.0 cumulative high school GPA at time of application
  • Scholarship will be applied first toward tuition and fees; any unused funds may be used for books
  • Requires full-time (12+ hours) enrollment in fall and spring semesters
  • Renewable for second year based on minimum earned credit of 30 credit hours with 3.0 GPA during the student’s first year

  • Non-Montgomery County resident
  • 3.0 cumulative high school GPA

  • Renewable for second year based on minimum earned credit of 30 credit hours with 3.0 GPA during the student’s first year
