Storage Networking World Award

Computerworld's Storage Networking World has chosen Sinclair's ITS department as a finalist in the Best Practices in Storage Awards Program in the category of "Securing the Storage Fortress." The awards are presented to IT users that demonstrate excellence in the use of storage technology.

There are five award categories: Innovation and Promise; Planning, Designing and Building a Strategic Storage Infrastructure; Securing the Storage Fortress; Storage Reliability and Data Recovery; and Systems Implementation.

Sinclair placed in the Securing the Storage Fortress category by exhibiting the required criteria (presented in the Computerworld article) of "proactively observing the need to protect stored data from internal and external threats.... and focusing on individual security concerns of the specific organization and how the solution applied caters to those needs, while still maintaining usability and efficient data access."
