Desktop Support

Technicians provide first-level support for desktop hardware:

  • PCs
  • printers
  • scanners
  • and accessories

Technicians provide second-level support for:

  • campus Help Desk
  • all of the podiums on campus
  • Windows Operating Image
  • Office Applications for the users.

Technicians also

  • install software on the desktop
  • respond to network connectivity problems — checking the network cable connection from the PC to the network closet
  • deploy lab images to PCs utilizing the Altiris software.

Technicians are dispatched when issues cannot be resolved over the phone by the Help Desk.
