Physiology and rationale for use and application of biophysical agents including, but not limited to, hydrotherapy, biofeedback, light therapies and taping. Two lab hours per week.

Outcomes

  • Students will understand the principles of other biophysical agents and how to appropriately apply them to patient's.
  • Students will be able to assess the patient's appropriateness for a modality and assess the treatment outcomes.
  • Students will be able to select appropriate modalities to treat the affected tissue/structure.
  • Students will be able to competently apply modalities, assuring patients safety, comfort and privacy while monitoring patient's response to treatment and document treatment appropriately.
