Haitian Presenter Coming to Learning Centers

DAYTON, Ohio (02/12/10) – Lionel Zephirin, a Haiti native, will speak about the recent earthquake and challenges in Haiti at Sinclair’s Learning Centers Thursday, February 18.

Zephirin’s presentation will offer Sinclair students, faculty and staff, as well as the greater Day ton community, the opportunity to learn more about Haiti’s culture, history and hope for the future.

The first presentation begins at 10 a.m. at the Huber Heights Learning Center, and another presentation begins at the Englewood Learning center at 1 p.m.

The Student Leadership Clubs/Committees of the Learning Centers will resume selling Haiti Relief T-shirts Monday, February 15. More than 100 shirts have already been sold, and the Learning Centers have raised over $600 for the American Red Cross/Haiti Relief efforts through T-shirt sales.
