Women's Hoops Down Wittenberg JV

Dayton, OH –  The Lady Tartan Pride begin a December schedule that will set the stage for their upcoming 2010-11 OCCAC run. Tonight, Sinclair Tartan Pride Women's Basketball Team took on Division III power Wittenberg University from Springfield, Ohio.

Sinclair came into the game winning three of their last four road games and welcomed the comfortable confines of The Sinclair Physical Activities Center.

The Lady Pride sprinted out to a 46-22 halftime lead due, in large part, to good pressure defense and solid rebounding.

Sinclair came out in the second half and shot 56 percent from the field and would go on to win 93-53.

Sophomore Samantha Van Atta (Waynesville, Ohio) lead the way with a career high 19 points and 4 assists as five players scored in double figures.

The Pride are 6-2 overall and will return to home action on December 15 as they take on Otterbein College at 6:00 PM in Sinclair's Physical Activities Center located in Building 8.
