Sinclair Graduates More Than 1650 Students
Sinclair Community College graduated more students this June than ever before.
The college graduated an estimated 1657 students, a 13 percent increase over 2007. In addition, Sinclair conferred 317 certificates and over 1900 short-term certificates.
“We have removed the barriers that made graduation a difficult process for our students,” said Allison Rhea, Registrar. “By eliminating requirements like applications and fees, more students are counted as graduates. In addition, enrollment growth and the expansion of degree programs have increased our total number of students.”
Sinclair had a nearly four percent increase in full-time students for the 2008 spring quarter. Currently, the college also has an increase in summer registration.
“Efforts like these ensure the college continues to put students first,” added Rhea.
The college held its 42nd commencement on Friday, June 13, at the University of Dayton Arena. Sinclair is Dayton’s largest college with a total of more than 23,000 students.
