DAYTON, OH (1/24/2010) – Erin Henry (Beavercreek, 45434), a Sinclair Community College annual contracted faculty member, received the Professional Human Resource (PHR) certification for her experience and responsibilities over her career.

Henry received her Associates of Applied Science degree at Sinclair before going on to get her bachelor’s degree in business from Capital University in Columbus and then her master’s degree at Central Michigan University. In 2001, Henry became an advisory board member to the management/marketing and CIS/BIS departments at Sinclair. That same year she started as an adjunct faculty member in the management/marketing department. In January 2010, Henry became an Annually Contracted Faculty member in and is now coordinating curriculum and course material for the management/marketing department.

Henry has over 20 years of HR experience and has worked for family-owned businesses to Fortune 500 companies, and is also actively involved in the community, serving on a number of boards and committees. These include: Dayton Development Coalition’s Community Pride Leader for BRAC Inbound, AFCEA (Armed Forces Communication and Electronics Association), Dayton Chamber of Commerce Workforce Development, SHRM (Society Human Resources Management), MVHRA (Miami Valley Human Resources Association), and the Miami Valley Military Affairs Association. Henry has an Active Top Secret Clearance and has her own business, ITsHRc, LLC practicing both Information Technology staffing and Human Resources consulting.

The PHR certification is given by the Human Resource Certification Institute. HR professionals seeking the certification must complete an exam to be eligible.
