Dayton, OH - Jeff Price (Men's Basketball Coach) announced that Sinclair Community College has signed Darrien Wilkins (6-5/Cincinnati Princeton H.S.) to a National Letter of Intent.

Coming off a 2 point loss in the Division I State Championship game his Junior year, the 6-5 Guard/Forward assumed more of a leadership role during his Senior year. A member of a Viking team that won 3 straight GMC (Greater Miami Conf) titles and an appearance in a State Championship game, Darrien brings a winning attitude to Sinclair along with outstanding basketball IQ. “Darrien was a huge part of the success of the Princeton Vikings Basketball program over the last 3 seasons. He is a dynamic athlete with a unique skill set,” Said Coach Andrews (Princeton H.S.). Wilkins averaged 13.4 points per game and 7.6 rebounds per game all awhile shooting 50.2% from the field during his Senior year helping Princeton to a 19-5 record.

He is expected to play both the Off Guard and Small Forward positions utilizing both size, speed and outside shooting. “We are extremely excited about having the opportunity to coach such a high quality young man in Darrien,” Said Coach Price.

Darrien will join a Sinclair Men's Basketball team coming off three consecutive 20 win seasons as well as being ranked simultaneously in the top 20 of the NJCAA (National Junior College Athletic Association) polls.
