2009-10 Basketball Schedule Announced

Dayton, OH - Sinclair Community College has announced its complete men’s basketball schedule, which includes 7 home Ohio Community College Athletic Association (OCCAC) games and 7 non-conference games.

The OCCAC schedule will once again be full of NJCAA Nationally Ranked teams as well a score of talented athletes. Columbus State is the current reigning conference champion and should be ranked in the top 10 when the rankings come in November. Lakeland CC will return all 5 starters as they search for their first OCCAC title under Coach Bowe. Other top contenders for the OCCAC title will be a much improved Cincinnati State team with Coach Andre Tate and Owens CC from Toledo.

Sitting just three games into this years schedule, is Mott CC from Flint, Michigan. Mott has won 3 of the last 7 National Championships and has played in 5 of the last 9 National Championship games for NJCAA Division II. This year’s tilt will take place in Flint, MI as the Pride go on the road for the first time on November 14th (5pm).

A highlight of the non-conference schedule will come early in December as Sinclair travels to Philadelphia to take on the University of Pennsylvania JV Quakers in the Palestra on December 8th. After taking on Penn, the team will travel down to Washington, DC for a tour of all the National Monuments as well as tours of the White House and the Capitol.

White Out Wednesday will take place on February 10th against Edison CC and the sophomores will be honored on Monday March 1st in a non-conference match up against our friends from Wright Patterson AFB.
