Sinclair Announces February Gallery Shows

DAYTON, Ohio (02/01/10) – Sinclair Community College announced three new shows for its galleries in February.

The Burnell R. Roberts Triangle Gallery will kick off "America at Home" by Juan-Si Gonzalez on February 15. The multi-media installation documents 16 towns named Cuba that are scattered around the US. He reflects on these places in his adopted country that have appropriated the name of his country of origin.

The gallery will host a reception for the artist on February 25 from 7:00 pm – 9:00 pm.

Dennie Eagle son will curate "Cuba: Siempra Viva" in the Works on Paper Gallery beginning February 15. The show features works by contemporary Cuban photographers.

The Hypotenuse Gallery will continue to feature narrative paintings by Eduardo de Soignie in "Migration (Journey) Pilgrimage" until February 25.

All gallery hours are Monday-Thursday from 8:00 am – 8:00 pm, Friday from 8:00 am – 5:00 pm and Saturday from 8:00 am – 3:00 pm.
