Dayton, OH – #13 Sinclair (14-3/1-0) Men’s Basketball breaks into the NJCAA Top 25 Division II Men’s Basketball Poll this week at number 13.

For the first time this year, Sinclair received enough votes to move into the top 25 of this week’s JUCO Division II rankings.  The Pride currently stands at 14-3 and coming off an impressive road win at Owens Saturday to open OCCAC Conference play.

Along with the #13 national team ranking, Sinclair also ranks #12 in team defense (65.19ppg) and #24 in team Field Goal % (46.09%).

Freshman Darrien Wilkins (6-5/Cincinnati Princeton H.S.) leads the Pride with 18.1 points per game and 9.4 rebounds per game, ranking him 39th in the nation for scoring and 29th in the nation for rebounding. 

Jonathan Bibbs (6-4/Dayton Chaminade Julienne H.S.) also has earned national attention as he now ranks 29th nationally from the 3pt line shooting an outstanding 50% from beyond the arc.

Success has not only come to the Pride on the court, but in the classroom as well.  8 of the 15 team members earned over a 3.00 GPA for the Fall Quarter with Starting Point Guard Pat Crawford (6-1/Centerville H.S.) topping off with a perfect 4.00.

The Sinclair will continue conference play this Saturday as the Pride travel to Columbus State for a 3pm match up.
