Sinclair to Host Choral Invitational Concert

Dayton, OH- The Sinclair Community College Music Department will host a choral invitational concert given by three of its singing groups and four invited choirs on Sunday, November 23.

The concert will begin at 4 p.m. at Kettering Seventh-Day Adventist Church at 3939 Stonebridge Road in Kettering, Ohio. The concert is free and open to the public.

The concert will showcase the Sinclair Chorale and Women's Ensemble, conducted by Associate Professor Nolan Long and the Men's Ensemble, conducted by Professor Daniel Greene The groups will perform individually and will later join choirs from Centerville High School, Stivers High School, Greenmont-Oak Park Community Church and Sugar Creek Presbyterian Church for a joint performance of four movements from Handel's Messiah with solos by four of Sinclair's music majors .

Associate Professor of Music Nolan Long is in his fifth year of teaching at SCC, and his 25th year of teaching in higher education. He teaches private Voice, Sight-Singing for Singers, Voice Class and Directs the SCC Chorale, Women's Ensemble, and Chamber Choir. He presently serves the Liberal Arts, Communication and Social Sciences Division as Faculty Senator.
