Women’s Basketball Takes Down OCCAC Foe Columbus State

Dayton, OH – Sinclair Women’s Basketball team hosted Columbus State in Ohio Community College Athletic Conference, OCCAC action at the Physical Activities Center on the campus of Sinclair this evening.

Coming off a heartbreaking two point loss to Lakeland on Saturday, The Lady Pride came out fast and never looked back and win 77-54. Leading The Lay Pride was Emily Frey (Versailles) with a double-double 23 points and 13 rebounds. Chelcie Gullett (Xenia) had 16 points and Shannon Campbell (Miamisburg) had 10. The Lady Pride shot 45% from the three point line going 5 for 11.

Sinclair goes to 12-3 overall and 2-1 in OCCAC play and Columbus State drops to 10-7 and 1-1. With a win on Saturday, The Lady Pride could jump back into the top 20 of the NJCAA National Polls.

The Sinclair Women’s team will return to action at home this Saturday as they take on Cuyahoga College at 2:00 PM at the Physical Activities Center on the campus of Sinclair College.
