The Lady Tartans defeated host Ancilla Colleg 88-40 in the first round of the Region XII District G Tournament. Sinclair jumped out to a quick 9-2 lead and never looked back. Sinclair shot a blistering 60% from the floor in the first half including 54% from 3-point land while holding Ancilla to 26%. The Tartans held a 56-18 advantage at half.

Leading the way for Sinclair were Shannon Campbell (FR/Miamisburg) with 18 points and 4 rebounds, Shelby Pettit (FR/Brookville) with 16 points, 4 rebounds, and 4 assists, and Jessica Plummer (FR/Tippecanoe) with 13 points.

Also contributing were Chelcie Gullett (SO/Xenia) with 9 points, Jana Gross (SO/Bellbrook) with 8 points, Karen Smith (FR/Versailles) with 8 points, Emily Frey (FR/Versailles) with 7 points, Jessica Myers (SO/Springfield South) with 5 points, and Haleigh Hickenbottom (FR/West Liberty Salem) with 4 points.

The Lady Tartans will play Grand Rapids on Thursday at 6pm in the 2nd round.
