Sinclair Hosts Documenting Endangered Languages Seminar

DAYTON, OH (9/10/2010) – Lisa Ebeling, former director of the Language Documentation Training Center in Honolulu, HI, will be coming to Sinclair to discuss the status and preservation of endangered languages. 

Attendees will learn about the importance of preserving endangered languages and how people are persecuted for their language. This event will be of special interest to people interested in sociology, anthropology, history, African American studies, and modern languages. 

The event will take place from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. on September 16, 2010 in Building 7, in Room 7006. 

The seminar is sponsored throu gh a grant by the Ohio Humanities Council. The goal is to help Sinclair further its mission of providing a global, diverse education.
