Warrensville Heights, Ohio - Sinclair Athletic Director, Jack Giambrone has been named Assistant Commissioner of The Ohio Community College Athletic Conference (OCCAC) by unanimous vote of the eight member schools. Giambrone will begin immediatley and oversee the conferences important Ethics Committee, assist the conference in merger talks with the Michigan Conference and advise on legal procedures . In June, Giambrone was selected as the 2009 Sinclair representative for the Ohio Association of Two Year Colleges, Teacher of the Year. "Sinclair Athletics is committed to our philosophy of Being Great in The 3 C's and finding that combination of Great Student, Great Citizen and Great Athlete. And in that order!", said Gaimbrone.

Giambrone is in his second year as Athletic Director and his fifth overall at Sinclair.

Before joining Sinclair, he was a 2004 American Football Coachers Association (AFCA), Coach of the Year Finalist. Having had coaching stops at Otterbein College, Eastern Keturcky University, NFL Europe, Wittenberg University and Wilmington College.

OCCAC members include: Cincinnati, Columbus, Cuyahoga (East, West & Metro), Edison, Lakeland, Lorain, Owens and Sinclair
