Welcome to the Sinclair Writing Center 

                          We aim to produce better writers, not just better writing.

 The Writing Center is a gathering place for writers that offers:

• One on one tutoring assistance
• Computer stations
• Research resources
• A relaxed, friendly space in which to work

Writing Center tutors can help students:

• Identify the strengths and weaknesses of their papers
• Develop and organize essay content
• Focus and support thesis statements
• Use and document sources
• Recognize and overcome grammar problems 

The Writing Center cannot:

• Write or type a paper for a student
• Make appointments or reserve computers
• Print in color
• Assure a student of obtaining a certain grade
