The Student Government Association sponsored a fund-raiser in October 1992 for the Somalia Relief effort organized by Aficare. A representative from Aficare, Melvin Foote, was the keynote speaker for this event with the Dayton Contemporary Dance Company performing at no charge. Approximately 100 college and community members attended this event which raised a total of $1,026.
