Eighth Annual First Nations Festival

The Native American Cultural Club is sponsoring its Eighth Annual First Nations Festival, with events occurring Nov. 2, 9, and 10.

On Monday, Nov. 2, a program of readings from Native American Literature will be held from noon - 1:00pm in the Library Loggia. Kay Berg, Lisa Tyler, Dottie Bely, and Jim Brooks will be reading.

On Nov. 9 and 10, a series of events will be held in the lower level of Bldg. 8. On both days, displays, as well as arts and crafts for sale, will be available from 10:00am - 4:00pm. At 11:00am on both days, Cork Bomberry, traditional Tuscarora, will give a talk and answer questions about Living on the Rez. On Monday, Nov. 9, the award-winning film American Holocaust, narrated by Ed Asner, will be shown at noon, with a discussion to follow. On Tuesday, Nov. 10, a presentation about Native Americans in the Military will be held at noon.
