February 7, 2012: Sinclair Community College Head Coach Steve Dintaman has announced the schedule for the 2012 season, which will be his 5th season at the helm of the Tartan Pride. "I'm very excited about our schedule for the upcoming season," said Dintaman. "Once again, we're playing some of the best teams in the country, and our non-conference schedule will prepare us for conference games. Three teams on the schedule carry a preseason ranking, two are in the top five and two went to the NJCAA World Series last year. Our goals haven't changed, win our conference and win our region, which would give Sinclair its first ever appearance in the World Series."
Last season, Sinclair finished with a 34-15 record and received votes in the NJCAA poll throughout the season. For the third consecutive season, The Tartan Pride won the OCCAC Conference Title, giving them an automatic bid to the Regional. In the past ten seasons, Sinclair has won six OCCAC Conference Championships and have been to the Regional seven times - six straight.
Meet the Coach
Steve Dintaman became the seventh head coach in Tartan Pride history, August 2007. Steve will enter his fifth season as head coach of the Tartan Pride this spring.
In 2011, Coach Dintaman led the Pride to their third consecutive OCCAC Conference Championship. His team finished with a 34-15 record and received votes in the NJCAA poll throughout the season.
