2008 Ohio Community College Athletic Conference Champions
Sinclair finished the season with a 22-4 overall record and 12-2 in OCCAC.
Honors: Danielle Roe - Selected as First Team OCCAC, Region XII All-Star, and District G All-Tournament Team. Liz Shank - Selected Second Team OCCAC. Autumn Heflin - Selected Honorable Mention OCCAC.
Mar. 24 - Final NJCAA Stat Standings: Team Off. - 17th, Team Def. - 20th, 3FG% - 10th, and FT% - 25th. Autumn Heflin was ranked 21st in FG%.
Mar. 3 - Region XII Stat Standing: FG% - Autumn Heflin 2nd, FT% - Shaliah Wright 19th, Assists - Shaliah Wright 14th, Danielle Roe 16th, and Autumn Heflin 22nd, Steals - Shaliah Wright 18th.
Feb. 20 - OCCAC Player of the Week - Autumn Heflin - The Sophomore guard/forward contributed 12 points, 9 rebounds, 5 assists, and 3 steals and shot 60% from the floor including 67% from 3-point range and 100% from the foul line to help Sinclair defeat Owens 87-75.
Sat., Feb. 16th - THINK PINK! Thanks to everyone who supported us during our Think Pink event! We had 379 people in attendance honoring 39 people that have had breast cancer. Through gate receipts, honor donations, and our silent auction, we raised $1002 that will be donated to the Kay Yow/WBCA Cancer Fund. Please visit the WBCA Think Pink web site for more information.
Jan. 30 - OCCAC Player of the Week - Danielle Roe - In two OCCAC wins the Sophomore guard shot 50% from the floor and 100% from the foul line. First in a Wednesday night 68-43 win against Edison, Roe scored 14 points and dished out 6 assists. She then scored 12 points with 8 rebounds and 5 assists against Columbus State in a 74-69 win putting the Sinclair Pride alone at the top of the OCCAC standings.

Dec. 14 - OCCAC Player of the Week - Liz Shank - Shank got the Sinclair Pride off to a 2-0 start with wins over Cincinnati State and Columbus State. In the Cincinnati State win, Shank scored 30 points, along with 7 rebounds, and 4 assists. She was 11 for 15 from the floor, 1 of 2 from 3 point territory, and 7 of 8 from the free throw line. She followed that performance with 16 points against Columbus State pulling in 7 rebounds and dishing out 2 assists.
Make A Difference
February 8 through 17 marked the Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) "Think Pink" week for 2008. The initiative is a global, unified effort for the WBCA's nation of coaches to assist in raising breast cancer awareness on the court, across campuses, in communities and beyond. Click here to find the latest Think Pink Donation Tally. To date 1000 participants have joined forces and the donation tally continues to grow!
On Oct. 23, 2007 the team participated in the 22nd Annual Ghosts and Goblins 5K Run and Walk benefitting the Children's Medical Center.
For the past 5 years, the team has participated in the American Cancer Society Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk at Fifth Third Field.
During the 2007 season, the team collected pop tops for the Ronald McDonald House.
During the 2006 season, the team collected tools for Habitat for Humanity. In August 2005 the team volunteered at a work site assisting in various house building tasks. They also donated proceeds from an exhibition game to the NJCAA Hurricane Relief Fund.
During the 2005 season, the team collected used cell phones for the Artemis House for Domestic Violence.
