Meet Coach Dillon
Jeff Dillon begins his sixth season as the head coach of the Sinclair Pride Women's Basketball team. Last year's team won the OCCAC conference with a 12-2 conference record and finished with a 22-4 overall record. Several players received all conference honors, Danielle Roe 1st team, Liz Shank 2nd team, and Autumn Heflin Honorable Mention. The team finished ranked in the nation in several categories, 10th in 3-point field goal %, 17th in offense, and 25th in free throw %. Autumn Heflin also set 2 new school records in field goal % and free throw %.
In Coach Dillon's first season in 2003-2004, he led the team to a 16-12 record. The following year the team ended with a 19-12 record and a runner-up finish in the NJCAA Region XII Tournament. That year The Pride was 14th in the nation in Team Free Throw Percentage and 17th in Total Team Defense and set schools records in 3 point field goals in a single game and team defensive average for the season. The 2006-2007 team ended the season with a 19-8 record and set a new school record in team defensive average.
With team success comes individual success. Saundra Hale was selected 1st team OCCAC in 2004-2005 Denise Barr was selected 2nd team OCCAC that same year as well as Mary Werden who was selected to the Honorable Mention squad. Blythe Billing was All-OCCAC in 2005-2006. Danielle Roe was a First Team OCCAC selection in 2006-2007.
Coach Dillon's leadership and commitment to the community resulted in one of the largest community service projects ever undertaken by Sinclair Community College. The 2004-2005 team was actively involved in the Artemis House, a center for victims of domestic violence. The 2005-2006 team chose to be involved in Habitat for Humanity and the team spent time working on roofing for a housing project and conducted a tool drive during the season. The 2006-2007 team worked with the Ronald McDonald House which included collecting tab tops and worked weekends cleaning and restocking supplies in the Ronald McDonald House. Last year the team collected items for the Dayton Humane Society
This year's team hopes to become involved with the Foodbank. they have already participated in the American Cancer Society's Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk, Ghost and Goblin run benefitting the Children's Medical Center of Dayton, and the MDA telethon. As well they will be participating in the Women's Basketball Coaches Association Pink Zone week benefitting the Kay Yow/WBCA Cancer Fund.
Coach Dillon emphasizes academics and in his tenure, the team has carried a 3.013, 2.967, and 2.96 grade point average respectively. Several members of the women's team were named to the Dean's List and Academic All-Conference Team. The latest addition to that honor was Danielle Roe. Expectations for this year's team are equally high.
Coach Dillon has published several articles in leading basketball publications, most recently collaborating with Dr. Peter Titlebaum in sports management at the University of Dayton about recruting procedures and policies at the college level.

Meet Coach Meinking
Coach Meinking begins her fifth season as an assistant coach for Sinclair. Her responsibilities cover a wide-range of aspects including on-the-court instruction, travel agendas, and off-season programs. Some of her duties include guard play, man defense, developing game strategies, and community service projects.

Records During Tenure
During the 4 years tenure together, several teams have broken school records. The 2004-2005 squad set the record for 18 3 Point Field Goals during a game as well as the Best Defensive Average of 58.8 points through 31 games. However that didn't last long since the 2006-2007 squad topped that with a Defensive Average of 54.4 points through 27 games. Autumn Heflin (2006-2008) set program records in field goal percentage and free throw percentage.
