Nov. 7, 2009 - SCC 91 vs. Rio Grande JV 61
Sinclair started the season with a victory over visiting Rio Grande 91-61. The end score doesn't show the slow start the Tartan Pride got off to. At the 10:00 mark of the first half the Pride was down 31-10. Play picked up on the defensive end of the court and the Pride started to dig themselves out of the hole getting back to 31-29 at the 4:00 mark and ended the half on a 29-8 run to take the 39-33 lead into halftime.

Play stayed close at the beginning of the 2nd half with Sinclair holding 49-47 lead at the 12:00 mark. But again the team went on a 25-6 run in the last 6 minutes of the game to earn the 91-61 victory.

Leading the way for Sinclair were FR Emily Frey with 18 points and 8 rebounds, FR Jessica Plummer with 17 points and 5 steals, and FR Shelby Pettit with 14 points.

Nov. 9, 2009 - SCC 72 vs. Cedarville JV 59
The Lady Tartan Pride recorded their 2nd victory in as many tries with a 72-59 victory over visiting Cedarville. Sinclair got off to a quick start jumping ahead 9-2 within the first two minutes of the game and held a 24-9 advantage at the 10:00 mark. Using stifling defense the Pride forced the Yellow Jackets into 18 turnovers in the first half and held a 37-20 lead at half.

Cedarville made adjustments at half and came out with the hot hand in the 2nd half and closed the lead to 49-42 at the 10:00 mark. Play remained tight throughout the 2nd half with Cedarville fighting back. Sinclair was able to hold back their comeback and came away with the 72-59 win.

Sinclair was led on the night by FR Emily Frey with 16 points and 7 rebounds and SO Jessica Pierre with 14 points and 7 rebounds.

Nov. 14, 2009 - SCC 86 at Mott (MI) 62
Sinclair earned their 3rd victory on the season after beating host Mott (MI) 86-62. The teams traded baskets early in the first half with Sinclair holding a slim 10-8 advantage at the 14:00 mark of the first half. The Lady Tartans went on a quick 9-0 run to go up 19-8 at the 12:00 mark but Mott fought back throughout the half and Sinclair held a 35-28 lead at halftime.

The 2nd half started with more of the same with Sinclair having a 60-50 lead at the 10:00 mark. The Lady Tartans then picked up the full court defense and went on a 26-12 run the rest of the game and went a perfect 11 of 11 from the foul line in the 2nd half to earn the 86-62 win.

Leading the way for Sinclair were FR Emily Frey with 19 points, 9 rebounds and 3 assists, SO Jessica Pierre with 19 points, 8 rebounds, 4 blocks, and 3 steals, and SO Chelcie Gullett with 19 points.

Nov. 18, 2009 - SCC 61 vs. Miami Middletown 55
Sinclair extended their winning streak to 4 after defeating a determined Miami University of Middletown team 61-55. MUM jumped out to a quick lead but the Lady Tartans came back with their own quick baskets to go ahead 15-10 at the 14:00 mark. Play was sloppy in the first half with both teams turning the ball over. Sinclair shot 56% from the floor in the first half but the score was tied 31-31 at half.

More of the same happened in the 2nd half but Sinclair went on a 8-2 run to start the half and held a slim 43-37 advantage at the 10:00 mark. The Lady Tartans applied full court pressure but the Thunderhawks didn't give up and kept 10 points so Sinclair couldn't pull away. When the final buzzer sounded, Sinclair was able to escape with the 61-55 victory.

Leading the way for Sinclair were SO Chelcie Gullett with 20 points, 8 rebounds, 3 assist, and 3 steals while shooting 57% from the floor including 50% from the 3 point line. FR Emily Frey added 16 points and 14 boards to record her first double-double on the season. FR Haleigh Hickenbottom added 13 points, 6 rebounds, and 4 steals.

Nov. 21, 2009 - SCC 69 at Rio Grande JV 71
The Lady Tartans suffered their first defeat on the season at the hands of host Rio Grande 71-69. The win avenged Rio's loss earlier in the season. Sinclair jumped out to a quick 8-2 lead before Rio warmed up. Rio held the 24-17 advantage at the 10:00 mark and held on to the lead taking the 39-35 lead into half.

Rio started the second half with 3 quick baskets to extend their lead to 10. Play was tied 55-55 at the 10:00 mark and play stayed close til the end of the game. When the buzzer sounded Rio held on for the 71-69 win.

Sinclair was led by SO Jessica Pierre with 12 points and 8 rebounds, FR Shelby Pettit with 11 points, and FR Haleigh Hickenbottom with 11 points.

Nov. 28, 2009 - SCC 71 at Clark St. 31
Sinclair got back on the winning track by defeating host Clark St. 71-31. Sinclair started the game with a 9-0 run and never looked back. Sinclair shot a hot 46% from the floor in the first half while holding Clark St. to 16%. The Lady Tartans took a 49-12 lead into halftime. Play slowed down in the 2nd half as well as the hot shooting for Sinclair but they came away with the victory.

Leading Sinclair were SO Chelcie Gullett with 13 points, FR Shannon Campbell with 11 points, FR Shelby Pettit with 10 points, and FR Haleigh Hickenbottom with 10 points and 5 rebounds.

Dec. 1, 2009 - SCC 82 at Cedarville JV 49
The Lady Tartans earned their sixth victory on the season after defeating Cedarville 82-49. Cedarville led 6-5 at the 18:00 mark but Sinclair went on a 5-0 run to take a 10-5 lead then never looked back. Sinclair's defensive pressure caused havoc on the Lady Jackets but held a slim 19-11 lead at the 10:00 mark. The Lady Tartans started to execute better and went on a 24-8 run to end the half to hold the 43-19 advantage at halftime. The second half brought more of the same for both teams. Sinclair got their second victory over Cedarville with the 82-49 win.

Sinclair had two players with double-doubles on the evening. FR Emily Frey had 16 points and 11 rebounds while SO Jessica Pierre had 12 points and 10 rebounds. FR Jessica Plummer added 15 points while SO Jana Gross had 4 3-point goals to add 12 points.

Dec. 4, 2009 - SCC 53 vs. Schoolcraft 76 Schoolcraft Inv.
Sinclair suffered a defeat at #2 ranked Schoolcraft 76-53 at the Schoolcraft Invitational. The Lady Tartans hung tough at the start of the game with the Ocelots holding a slim 13-10 lead at the 12:00 mark but Schoolcraft went on a 6-0 run to extend their lead and never looked back. Schoolcraft held a 37-26 advantage at half. The outscored the Lady Tartans 39-27 in the 2nd half and earned the victory.

Leading the way for Sinclair were FR Shelby Pettit with 13 points and SO Chelcie Gullett with 12 points. Dec. 5, 2009 - SCC 60 vs. Kennedy-King (IL) 39 at Schoolcraft Inv.
The Lady Tartans quickly got back on the winning track defeating Division I Kennedy-King (IL) 60-39 in the consolation game of the Schoolcraft Invitational. Sinclair jumped out to an 8-2 lead at the 16:00 mark but play remained close in the first half with Sinclair holding a 30-24 advantage at halftime.

Sinclair went on an 8-2 run to start the second half and was up 44-33 at the 10:00 mark and never looked back from there. They were able to extend their lead through the rest of the half to win 60-39.

Leading Sinclair were SO Jessica Pierre with 16 points and 6 rebounds and SO Chelcie Gullett with 14 points. Dec. 9, 2009 - SCC 81 vs. University of Dayton Club 46
Sinclair extended their winning streak to two after defeating the University of Dayton Club team 81-46. After a delay, play got off to a slow start with both teams even at 11-11 at the 14:00 mark. The Lady Tartans went on a 10-3 run to create a lead and went into halftime with a 34-20 lead.

Dayton closed the gap 36-26 at the 16:00 mark of the second half but couldn't get any closer than that. Sinclair shot 45% from the floor including 4 of 8 from 3 point land to outscore UD 47-26 in the half.

Leading the way for Sinclair were FR Jessica Plummer with 21 points, 4 steals, and shot 67% from the floor while SO Chelcie Gullett added 12 points.

Dec. 12, 2009 - SCC 62 vs. Ancilla 46
The Lady Tartans defeated Region XII opponent Ancilla College 62-46 before heading into the holiday break. Sinclair took a quick 6-2 lead at the 18:00 mark but Ancilla fought back and went ahead 13-9 at the 10:00 mark. Sinclair then went on a 15-6 run to take the lead into halftime at 24-19.

Play remained close at the beginning of the half but Sinclair started to pull away taking a 36-25 lead at the 14:00 mark. The Lady Tartans shot 49% from the floor in the half to secure the lead and earn the victory.

FR Emily Frey recorded a double-double for the day having 12 points and 12 rebounds. SO Chelcie Gullett had 13 points, 4 assists, and shot 50% from the field including 3 of 4 from 3-point land while FR Jessica Plummer added 10 points, 4 rebounds, and 3 steals.

Also contributing were SO Jessica Pierre with 8 points and 6 rebounds, FR Haleigh Hickenbottom with 6 points, SO Jana Gross with 5 points, SO Jessica Myers with 4 points, and FR Shelby Pettit with 4 points.

Dec. 29, 2009 - SCC 96 vs. Ohio Univ. Chillicothe 31
Sinclair came back from a 16 day holiday break and defeated visiting Ohio University of Chillicothe 96-31. The Tartan Pride jumped out to a quick start and never looked back. Sinclair shot 57% from the floor including 4 of 6 from 3 point land in the first half to create a 49-12 lead.

For the game, Sinclair shot 55% from the floor and was 7 of 13 from behind the 3 point arch. They also got 54 points from their bench. All eleven players got into the scoring column.

Leading the way were FR Jessica Plummer with 15 points, FR Emily Frey with 13 points and 10 rebounds, SO Chelcie Gullett with 13 points, and FR Shannon Campbell with 12 points.

Other scoring was FR Shelby Pettit with 9 points, FR Rachel Brun with 7 points, SO Jessica Pierre with 6 points, FR Karen Smith with 6 points, SO Jana Gross with 5 points, FR Haleigh Hickenbottom with 5 points, and SO Jessica Myers with 5 points.

Jan. 2, 2010 - SCC 81 at Lorain County 53 *
Sinclair opened OCCAC play with a victory over host Lorain County 81-53. Both teams started off slow to start the game with Lorain taking the early 14-9 lead at the 10:00 mark. Sinclair started to warm up and tied the game 19-19 at the 6:00 mark then went on a 18-5 run to end the half and hold the 37-24 advantage at halftime.

The Tartan Pride extended their lead early in the 2nd half with a 18-9 run to start the half and held a 67-41 lead at 10:00 mark and never looked back and earned the 81-53 victory.

Leading the way for Sinclair were SO Chelcie Gullett with 17 points and 9 rebounds, SO Jessica Pierre with 16 points, and FR Shannon Campbell with 14 points.

Jan. 9, 2010 - SCC 58 at Lakeland 60 *
Sinclair dropped an OCCAC contest against host Lakeland 60-58. Lakeland got off to a hot start taking an 18-9 advantage at the 12:00 mark before Sinclair battled back to 22-21 at the 4:00 mark. Lakeland held a slim 27-25 lead at halftime.

Sinclair was able to gain a 38-35 lead in the 2nd half at the 16:00 mark but the Lakers stormed ahead going up by as many as 12 at the 8:00 mark with the score 54-42. However the Lady Tartans didn't give up and still battled with the score 58-51 at the 2:00 mark. Sinclair ended the game with a 7-2 run but it wasn't enough and Lakeland earned the 60-58 victory.

Leading the way for Sinclair were SO Chelcie Gullett (Xenia) with 16 points, SO Jana Gross (Bellbrook) with 11 points, and FR Emily Frey (Versailles) with 11 points and 6 rebounds.

Jan. 13, 2010 - SCC 77 vs. Columbus St. 54 *
The Lady Tartans got back on the winning track by defeating Columbus St. 77-54. Sinclair got off to a quick start taking a 5-0 lead at the 18:00 mark and extended it to 11-2 before the Cougars started to fight back. Columbus St. went on a 16-6 run to take the lead 18-17 at the 8:00 mark before Sinclair went on an 18-6 run to end the half and hold the 35-24 advantage at halftime.

Columbus St. started the half with a 6-0 run to pull within 35-30 before Sinclair awoke to take a 42-32 lead at the 16:00 mark. The Cougars wouldn't go away and pulled within 60-51 at the 6:00 mark but the Lady Tartans held the Cougars scoreless over the next 4 minutes to hold a 68-51 advantage at the 2:00 mark and won the game 77-54.

Recording her 5th double-double on the season, FR Emily Frey had 23 points, 13 rebounds, and 4 steals. SO Chelcie Gullett contributed 16 points while FR Shannon Campbell added 10 points and 8 rebounds.

Jan. 16, 2010 - SCC 80 vs. Cuyahoga 64 *
Sinclair defeated a feisty Cuyahoga team by the score of 80-64. Play got off to a rough start with Sinclair holding a 10-4 lead at the 14:00 mark but went cold. The Challengers went on a 12-2 run to take the lead at the 10:00 mark 16-12. The teams battled back and forth with Cuyahoga having a 34-32 lead before Sinclair hit a basket at the end of the half to take the 35-34 advantage into halftime.

Play got off to a slow start in the second half with the Lady Tartans holding a 48-42 lead at the 14:00 mark. The Challengers wouldn't go ahead and Sinclair held a 66-55 lead at the 4:00 mark. The Lady Tartans were 11 of 13 from the foul line in the second half to extend their lead and get the victory on the day.

Jan. 18, 2010 - SCC 76 at Wittenberg JV 84
Sinclair suffered defeat to the hands of Wittenberg JV by the score of 84-76. Sinclair jumped out to a quick lead at 9-4 before Wittenberg got hot and went ahead 22-18 at the 10:00 mark. Play went back and forth throughout the half but the Tigers went on a 7-2 run to end the half to take the 37-34 lead into halftime.

The score remained close to start the second half with Wittenberg holding a slim 55-54 at the 10:00 mark. Hot shooting by the hosts allowed them to build a lead of 68-63 at the 4:00 mark and never looked back. The Tigers shot a blistering 48% from 3-point land to secure the victory.

Leading the way for Sinclair were FR Karen Smith with 14 points, 4 rebounds, and 4 steals and SO Jana Gross with 14 points and 3 assists. FR Haleigh Hickenbottom recorded 13 points, 5 rebounds, and 3 assists, FR Emily Frey had 12 points and 10 rebounds, while SO Chelcie Gullett added 11 points.

Jan. 30, 2010 - SCC 72 vs. Lorain County 62 *
Sinclair got back on the winning track after defeating Lorain County 72-62. Sinclair jumped out to a quick 7-0 lead before Lorain battled back to take a 16-15 lead at 8:00 mark. Sinclair went on a 21-5 run to end the half and hold the 36-21 halftime lead.

Lorain started the second half with a 12-3 run to pull within 39-33 at the 14:00 mark but wouldn't get any closer the rest of the half. Sinclair hit 11 of 12 free throws to secure the 72-62 victory.

Leading the way were FR Emily Frey with 14 points and 6 rebounds, SO Chelcie Gullett with 14 points, and FR Shannon Campbell with 12 points and 7 rebounds. SO Jana Gross also contributed 6 points, 9 rebounds, and 6 assists.

Feb. 3, 2010 - SCC 63 at Columbus St. 46 *
The Lady Tartans defeated Columbus St. 63-46 to sweep the Cougars for the season. Sinclair jumped out to a quick 7-2 lead at the 15:00 mark but both teams stalled and the scored remained for the next 5 minutes of play. The Lady Tartans held Columbus St. to 7% from the floor and held a 31-10 lead at halftime.

Columbus St. came out aggressive in the 2nd half and with renewed energy and went on a 20-9 run to pull within 40-30 at the 10:00 mark. The Cougars wouldn't go away shooting 43% from the floor but Sinclair hit key free throws to secure their victory.

Leading the way were FR Shannon Campbell with 21 points, 7 rebounds, and 6 steals and SO Chelcie Gullett with 11 points and 5 rebounds.

Feb. 13 - SCC 57 at Cuyahoga 50 *
Sinclair swept Cuyahoga on the season with the 57-50 victory. Cuyahoga got off to a strong start and held a 23-22 lead at halftime. Sinclair battled back in the 2nd half to earn the 57-50 win.

Leading the way were FR Shelby Pettit with 15 points and 5 rebounds and FR Emily Frey with 14 points, 8 rebounds, and 4 assists.

Feb. 17 - SCC 65 vs. Cincinnati State 90 *
Sinclair dropped another contest to visiting Cincy St. 90-65 for the season sweep by Cincy. Cincy took quick control of the game jumping out to a 42-22 halftime advantage that the Lady Tartans couldn't come back from.

Sinclair was led by FR Haleigh Hickenbottom with 12 points, 9 rebounds, and 5 assist, SO Chelcie Gullett with 12 points, and FR Emily Frey with 11 points.

Also contributing were FR Shelby Pettit with 6 points, SO Jana Gross with 5 points, FR Karen Smith with 5 points, and with 4 points apiece were SO Jessica Myers and FR Rachel Brun and Shannon Campbell.

Feb. 20 - SCC 76 vs. #2 Owens 74 *
Sinclair got a huge victory over #2 nationally ranked Owens by the score of 76-74. The outcome looked gloomy with Owens jumping out to a 7-0 start but Sinclair battled back and took a 17-16 lead at the 14:00 mark. The teams battled throughout the half with Sinclair holding a 24-30 lead at the 4:00 mark before Owens went on a 13-4 run to end the half at 43-38.

Owens extended their lead early in the second half holding a 54-43 advantage at 16:00 mark before Sinclair showed signs of life. Owens held a 69-60 lead at 6:00 mark before the Lady Tartans went on a 13-5 run to end the game and come away with the victory.

Feb. 24 - SCC 68 vs. Lakeland 62 *
The Lady Tartans avenged an earlier season lost to Lakeland by defeating the Lakers at home 68-62. Sinclair jumped off to a hot start and held a 21-12 lead at the 10:00 mark. Hot shooting from the floor at 61% led to the 46-32 halftime lead.

The Lakers came out with renewed energy in the second half and Sinclair lost their shooting touch and the Lakers quickly pulled within 50-42 at the 14:00 mark. Play stayed close the remainder of the game with Sinclair holding a slim 61-58 lead at 2:00 mark. Thankfully the Lady Tartans shot 79% from the foul line to secure the 68-62 win.

Feb. 26 - SCC 54 vs. Edison 65 OT *
Sinclair ended the regular season with a loss in overtime to visiting Edison. Play got off to a slow start with Sinclair holding a 5-4 lead at the 14:00 mark. Sinclair went on a 6-0 run but play stalled again with Sinclair holding a 11-9 lead at the 10:00 mark. Cold shooting plaqued both teams but Edison finished the half on a 17-7 run to hold the 26-18 lead at half.

Sinclair slowly battled back and was down 42-32 at the 8:00 mark before gaining momemtum. The Lady Tartans went on a 12-7 run to be down 49-44 at the 2:00 mark. With 5.2 seconds left, Sinclair went the length of the floor and Jana Gross hit a 3 point shot as time expired to tie the game 52-52. Edison dominated the extra minutes and Sinclair fell shot 65-54.

Leading Sinclair was FR Shannon Campbell with 16 points and 7 rebounds. Also contributing were SO Chelcie Gullett with 7 points, SO Jessica Myers with 7 points and 6 rebounds, SO Jana Gross with 6 points and 4 assists, FR Haleigh Hickenbottom with 6 points, FR Emily Frey with 5 points and 14 rebounds, FR Shelby Pettit with 5 points, and FR Jessica Plummer with 2 points.
