OCCAC All-Conference - Congratulations to the following players for being chosen All-Conference: First Team - Chelcie Gullett, Honorable Mention - Emily Frey and Jana Gross.

NJCAA Stats - Mar. 1 - Sinclair is currently ranked 11th in 3-point Field Goal %.  Chelcie Gullett is ranked 12th in 3-point Field Goal %.

Pink Zone Game - Sat., Feb. 20 the Lady Tartans will be having the Pink Zone game vs. Owens.  All proceeds from the day's event will be donated to the Kay Yow WBCA Cancer Fund.  Wear your pink to the game and come support a great cause!

Feb. 10 - Sinclair's Campbell OCCAC Player of the Week - Freshman forward Shannon Campbell scored 21 points and grabbed seven rebounds in the team's only game last week.  She also had three assists and six steals in the game.  She shot 50 percent (7 of 14) from the floor and two of two from the three point arc.  Shannon also shot 83.3 percent (5 of 6) from the free throw line.  "Shannon has stepped up for our team big time in the face of some key injuries.  Her contributions offensively and defensively have been huge." said head coach Jeff Dillon.  The OCCAC congratulates Shannon on the award.

Jan. 20 -  Sinclair's Frey OCCAC Player of the Week - Freshman forward Emily Frey had 43 points and 25 rebounds in two games last week.  She also had six steals and shot 42.4% from the floor.  Emily shot 66.7% from the three point arc and 76.5% from the free throw line.  She had a double double in both games.  "Emily has set herself apart as an outstanding player.  Her hustle and intensity have helped our team start off strong", said Head Coach Jeff Dillon.  The OCCAC congratulates Emily on the award.

Dec. 2 - Fall Academics - We are happy to report that 73% of our student-athletes achieved a 3.0 GPA or higher for the Fall Quarter.  Making the Dean's List were Rachel Brun (with a 4.0), Shelby Pettit, and Karen Smith.  Our Fall Quarter Team GPA was a 3.184.  Our Overall Team GPA currently stands at 3.277.

Nov. 2 - The women's basketball team will be working with Dayton's Crayons to Classrooms to collect school supply donations.  Please read more about our effort here.

Oct. 17th - For the seventh consecutive year, the team participated in the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk on October 17th.  6,500 walkers participated in the event raising $375,000. The team had 24 walkers including players, coaches, family, and friends.  The team raised $1,180 in donations going directly to the American Cancer Society.  Visit the team page here

 Make A Difference

The team participated in the 2009 WBCA's Pink Zone Saturday, February 14th. The initiative is a global, unified effort for the WBCA's nation of coaches to assist in raising breast cancer awareness on the court, across campuses, in communities and beyond.  All proceeds will benefit the Kay Yow WBCA Cancer Fund.  Coach Yow passed away on January 24th, 2009. 

The team participated in the 23rd Annual Ghost N Goblins Run on October 28th, 2008.  This was the 2nd year the team has participated in the event.  It benefits The Children's Medical Center of Dayton.
