Sinclair will travel to Schoolcraft College this weekend to participate in a tournament. Region XII opponents Kalamazoo Valley, Lakeland, and host Schoolcraft will be participating.
The team will be collecting canned goods at all home games this season for The Foodbank. All non-perishable foods accepted.
Nov. 24 - NJCAA Stats - Sinclair is currently ranked 21st in the nation in 3-point field goal % and 31st in team defense. Jana Gross is ranked 18th in the nation in Assists and Amanda White is ranked 25th in Rebounds.
Fall Quarter Academics - We are happy to report that 78% of the team had a 3.0 or higher GPA for the quarter. Making the Dean's List were Jana Gross, Chelcie Gullett, and Jessica Pierre.
Make A Difference
The team participated in the American Cancer Society's Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk on October 18th and collected $508 in donations. More than 6,000 walkers participated and the event raised over $330,000 for research, education, advocacy, and patient services. Freshman Chelsea Thompson collected the most donations. The team has walked in the event the past 6 years.
The team participated in the 23rd Annual Ghost N Goblins Run on October 28th. This was the 2nd year the team has participated in the event. It benefits The Children's Medical Center of Dayton. Freshman Rebekah Carter was the team's best finisher.
The team will be participating in the 2009 WBCA's Pink Zone Saturday, February 14th. The initiative is a global, unified effort for the WBCA's nation of coaches to assist in raising breast cancer awareness on the court, across campuses, in communities and beyond.
