English and mathematics proficiency are essential to the successful completion of your academic program. In order to be certain that you have the proficiency necessary for the work at Sinclair, three placement examinations in reading, writing, and mathematics will be administered upon your arrival at Sinclair. You must complete all three tests before you may register for classes. The courses you will register for will depend on the scores of these exams and the number of credit hours you already may have completed at another university. Any remedial course work that you place into must be taken during your first quarter. Failure to begin and finish this remedial work will result in your administrative withdrawal from classes.
