Except for H4 visa status holders, you may enroll at a U.S. university or college part time only.  At Sinclair Community College, you may enroll for up to two courses as long as the total number of credit hours does not exceed 11.

H4 visa status holders may enroll full time or part time.

Visitors to the United States on H1a, H1b, H2a, H2b, H3, or H4 visa status can qualify for Ohio or Montgomery County tuition rates.

To apply for admission and for Ohio or Montgomery County tuition rates, submit the following items to the Office of Registration & Student Records:

valid passport

letter from employer or spouse's employer verifying current employment and that employee is required to pay Ohio income tax

apartment lease or closing statement for home

valid I-94 Arrival/Departure Card

          *valid through the last day of the term that you intend to enroll

If you do not submit items 3 and 4, you will be charged the out of state tuition rate of $145.00 per credit hour per credit hour.  Click here for more information about residency for tuition purposes in the state of Ohio.

If you wish to enroll in a class that has an English or mathematics prerequisite, you will need to 1) complete the placement test in English or mathematics or 2) meet with an academic advisor with a copy of your university or college transcript that shows you have completed the prerequisite work at another school.
