The 999-99-XXXX that you may have had assigned to you at Sinclair is not valid for on-campus employment. You will need to obtain a valid social security number from the Social Security Administration office. The closest office is located at 200 West Second Street, one block from the Sinclair campus, at Perry Street. You will need to bring your passport, I-94, I-20, and a letter from your foreign student advisor verifying that you need this social security number for employment. Come to the Office of Registration & Student Records to request this letter. You will be asked to return the next business day after 3:00 p.m. with photo identification to pick up the letter.
