SCIENCE, MATHEMATICS & ENGINEERING

Special Programs & Outreach

The Division of Science, Mathematics and Engineering prides itself in its community outreach and involvement. With a growing demand for graduates in the science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) fields, there is an increasing drive to encourage student interest in these areas. In accordance to the Sinclair mission, "find the need and endeavor to meet it", our division understands the need and our outreach and special programs are just one way we are trying to meet it.

Take a look at a few of the programs we have to offer:

Disney Internship Program
There is no better way for a Sinclair student to celebrate spring, summer or fall than to become a Cast Member of Mickey's team, and work in Florida at Walt Disney World. The Disney Theme Parks and Resorts College Program is a one-of-a-kind combination of education and work experience.

Co-op Program
The Co-op Program alternates or combines periods of college study with periods of experience in Science, Mathematics and Engineering fields. Students are provided the opportunity to gain career related work experience while earning college credits toward their degree. This program provides students with part-time employment in science, mathematics and engineering related fields with local companies. Co-op work experiences empower students with knowledge and skills for the journey into tomorrow's work world.

K–12 Outreach Program
The K–12 Outreach Committee in the Science, Mathematics and Engineering division at Sinclair Community College has the responsibility of developing connections with area schools in order to foster a better understanding of engineering technology education opportunities. The links below provide information that can benefit students, teachers, and parents.
