Introduction to the Dean
Rena Shuchat, Dean of Life and Health Sciences, began her career at Sinclair in the Dental Health Sciences Department in 2000.  She was appointed chair of the department in 2003.  In addition to her leadership for the department, Rena has also served as the LHS Division's Learning Liaison for quarter to semester conversion, assisting with the development and review of the division's courses and programs.  She was Sinclair's exemplary chair in 2011 and Sinclair's representative to the Dayton Chamber of Commerce's Leadership Dayton class of 2011.  Prior to coming to Sinclair, Rena served as an assistant professor at the University of Louisiana, Monroe and as a clinical instructor at The Ohio State University.  She holds a BS in Dental Hygiene and an MS in Health Education from The Ohio State University.
