Clinical Placement Process

Beginning in their second quarter, students enroll in clinical education courses which are scheduled at various clinical facilities throughout the local community. Selections for clinical placement are made at the end of their first quarter. The clinical coordinator for the program determines clinical assignments.

During the second year curriculum, students are rotated through additional clinical facilities on a quarterly, weekly, and/or biweekly basis. Furthermore, students are required to complete an evening rotation of three to four weeks during one clinical quarter in the second year. Students are responsible for transportation to and from the clinical facility and must meet health and uniform requirements.

Liability (malpractice) insurance coverage is included in related lab fees for each clinical course.
