Associate of Applied Science in Physical Therapist Assistant

Physical therapist assistants work closely with physical therapists to assist patients in a wide variety of therapeutic and rehabilitative procedures. Career opportunities are available in hospitals, sports facilities, rehabilitation centers and other health care facilities.

The admission requirements are that students interested in applying to the Physical Therapy Assistant fill out an online application. There is also an on-line packet for your review.   Requirements are explained in this packet. Students are accepted to the eligibility list for admission to a future Fall class as they complete their pre-requisites. Once the student receiveds the Associate of Applied Science degree (AAS), they will apply to the state licensing board to take both the state laws and rules examination and the national examination from the Federation of State Boards of Physical Therapy. A graduate cannot work in the state of Ohio until they have recieved their license. The timing for testing depends on the completion of the application process by the graduate.
