LIFE & HEALTH SCIENCES

The PTA program completed an onsite assessment  of the program by the Commission on Accredutation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE) in June of 2009.  This concluded a year long self-study with documentation of all policies and procedures, teaching syllabi and textbooks and assessments used.

Standards assessed by CAPTE are the basis for the design of the curriculum, maintenance of all needed resources to support the program, policies and procedures that apply to all student sand faculty members associated with the program and program outcomes leading to completion of  the AAS degree.

During the site visit students, alumni, faculty and administrators were interviewed and all resources used by student were reviewed. Reaccreditation was granted to continue until 2019. This is the designated timeframe before another self-study and site visit will occur. Two compliance reports were submitted following the onsite visit to complete the reaccreditation.

Questions reagarding the significance of the standards required for accredtitaion should be addressed to the PTA program chairperson.
