SHARE Nursing
The Nursing Department of Sinclair Community College has entered into an agreement with the Wright State University-Miami Valley College of Nursing and Health to implement a dual enrollment track for selected students - SHARE Nursing (Students with High Achievement for Rapid Enrollment). The Sinclair program admits up to 10 students each Fall, Winter, and Spring quarter to this selective track. To be considered for admission to SHARE, a student must:

  • meet all requirements for admission to the Sinclair Nursing program;
  • pass all components of the PAX examination on the first attempt;
  • earn a GPA of 2.75 or better;
  • complete all prerequisite courses for both the Sinclair and the Wright State programs.

Students accepted to the SHARE Nursing program will be required to enroll in two Wright State nursing courses that are being offered as part of the dual enrollment track each of the two summers that they are in the Sinclair program. Upon completion of the AAS degree from Sinclair, graduates will be eligible to take the N-CLEX-RN examination. Following successful completion of the licensing examination, graduates will be eligible to complete the BSN at Wright State University.

There are several issues to consider when choosing to apply for the SHARE Nursing program. If you do not successfully complete nursing courses you may be dropped from the SHARE Nursing program. If you do not continue with RN-BSN course at Wright State University within one year of graduating from Sinclair, the courses you need to take to complete your BSN at Wright State University may change. Courses you take from Wright State University for your BSN are not guaranteed to transfer to a different RN-BSN completion program.
