A four hour didactic and two hour clinical instruction course for dental hygienists on the administration of nitrous oxide sedation and for dental assistants on the monitoring of nitrous oxide sedation. This course adheres to the standards established by the Ohio State Dental Board.  Sinclair Community College is a permanent sponsor for Continuing Education as recognized by the Ohio State Dental Board.

Prerequisites

Dental Hygienist	Current Certification in Basic Life Support **Must provide copy of current dental hygiene license
Dental Assistant (EFDA) (CDA) (BQP)	Current Certification in Basic Life Support 2 years and 3,000 hours experience in dental assisting* *Must provide letter from current employer verifying registrant has met these requirements
