Nursing Continuing Education

The Center for Nursing Continuing Education at Sinclair Community College is committed to providing continuing education designed to help nurses in the community develop and maintain knowledge and skills to facilitate career development.

Graduates of the Sinclair Community College Nursing program and other nurses in the community must be provided with continuing education of the highest quality to maintain and improve professional competence. The Center for Nursing Continuing Education at Sinclair has a responsibility to assist nurses in the community to meet their needs for life-long learning.

Goals of the Center are to:

  • Provide learning opportunities to broaden knowledge and skills in specialized areas of nursing practice.

  • Provide seminars that promote professional growth.

  • Provide programs that explore the rights, responsibilities, accountabilities, and liabilities of today’s nursing practice.

  • Provide online continuing education opportunities for registered nurses, licensed practical nurses, dialysis technicians and technologists (http://ce.sinclair.edu).

  • Provide online nurse refresher course for Registered Nurses returning to professional practice or changing practice areas through the Nursing Website: http://nursing.sinclair.edu/.

  • Collaborate with health care organizations in assessing the educational needs of their employees and planning programs to meet those needs.

 

Sinclair Community College (OH-101/07-01-09) is an approved provider of continuing nursing education by the Ohio Nurses Association (OBN-001-91), an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.
